thirty one hours.

that's how much i have worked this week. after tomorrow it will be thirty four. alright. i know. that's not even full time. but let's be honest, people. i've worked since i was fourteen (with the exception of last year), yeah. but not more than twenty hours a week.... and that was all like... spread out and divided between high school and playing and stuff. this week i have literally worked, slept, and occasionally i've eaten. being an adult freaking sucks.

okay except i'm not complaining. i want/need to work more because guess what?

i have to buy a car. and have money for groceries and gas next year (hopefully i'll get my scholarship again? and i'm blessed with amazing parents who will help with rent. i know. i'm lucky. anyway).. I'M SO GROWN UP. right? it's like i turned nineteen and life magically stopped being fun. awesome. jk. life is still fun. okay. well. this week it wasn't. but... maybe it will be sometime? it will be. when paki is done with finals maybe we'll hike sometimes! hiking is fun.

anyway. ha. i don't really have much else to say. because for real. all i did this week was work and ummm no one wants to read about me selling pizzas although i could write plenty of blog posts about that. it's a more interesting job than you would think. and i'm grateful for it. and i love the people i work with. wow. i'm rambling. i'm sorry. i'm tired!

oh but did i tell you guys i got a second job? i work for my padre at the stg shuttle. if you need shuttle services to the vegas airport or to salt lake (or cedar or beaver or filmore or provo) then you just go on over here. then give me a call and i'll book you a shuttle. cause i can do that. :) hehe.

being home is good. i love my family. still miss my roommate. and just byu in general. and everyone in my ward. but home is good.

k good night! much love--Mary

oh. and just for kicks. here's another little treasure i stumbled upon (in the five minutes i had to stumble this week. wahh. i miss having time to waste. ok. done complaining).

  1. hahahaha. i'm afraid to tell you that you're right. being an adult and working (almost full time) during the summer when you'd rather be doing other things is no fun. and guess what... i still feel that way. but mostly because joe is in school all summer and san francisco summer's are awfully cold and i don't have a backyard or a pool or a husband to go on fun summer vacations with.... soooo i wish i could tell you it gets better, but i think from here on out you just have to let the little fun moments keep you happy through the ones that aren't your favorite :) at least that's what i keep telling myself!
