call the cops

happy pioneer day!

last night was a good one. me, paty, alex, colby, and zach had some good times. we played some bocce and basketball. ate some cookies. drank some ginger ale. lit some sparklers. talked a lot. and went on a walk.

innocent sunday activity, right? going on a walk? yeah. so we walk down my street. and our friend taylor drives by and stops to talk to us. so we're standing in the road talking to our friend. i repeat: innocent. also we saw our friend maria. so we called her over. perhaps we were being a tad bit loud. PERHAPS. but nothing unruly for 10 PM on a holiday.

so that's why we were surprised when the cops showed up. yeah. what? two cop cars. at this point taylor had left.... so it was just us three gals and the three boys.

essentially the cops told us that they got a call from someone saying there were people standing in front of their house. yep. someone called the cops because there were people standing in front of their house.

i told the officers we would try to be less solicitous and we carried on with our walk. needless to say, anytime we saw anyone outside the rest of the night it was all, "CALL THE COPS SOMEONE IS STANDING OUTSIDE." ridiculous, right? we thought so. stupid cranky neighbors.

in other news. my wisdom teeth have been removed. i lived.
we spent a couple days in lake powell with the knox family. i loved.
i got a letter from a friend that i had given up on. i learned.

PS. in less that one month i will be living with my best friend in my sister's old apartment in provo. :) i can't WAIT.
