Daisies

k i don't even have anything to say i just wanted to blog. even though i really just need to go to bed because i have class at eight in the morning tomorrow. bleh. i need to get better at waking up early. i'm just really bad at it. a little body like mine just needs a ton of sleep! i took a two hour nap today...

yep. there i am sleeping.

speaking of my body haha.. i think i mentioned that i'm doing the slimfast diet? and i've dropped like 5 pounds in a week, so, i suggest it, if you're up for pretty much not eating anything. just kidding. it's not that bad... ha.

do you ever have those times when you have to skip through like 75% of your ipod before you find a song you want to listen to? i just had one of those times. anyway.

i just finished the great gatsby. and i finished breaking dawn. but... surprisingly, the great gatsby is the one that really got to me. i hate that book haha. i think it's full of awful, shallow, awful people. i had to read it for my writing class, or trust me, i wouldn't. i complained so much to jess about how much i hated the book and how i don't get it... but i got quite a bit out of it this time around. you know who i found myself loving and identifying with? jay gatsby. he spent his whole life clinging to something that USED to be.. him and daisy. oh my gosh i do that so bad. i cling to and fight for the past (although i'm not a bootlegger and i don't throw ritzy parties every night...) i do it so bad that my roommate actually wrote the word COULD on an index card and then set that index card on fire... it's now hanging right in front of my face on my bulletein board. it's a good reminder. cause i tend to cling to all sorts of Daisies. anyway. i hope i don't end up dying for my lost love(s) like gatsby did. poor gatsby. i heard they're making a movie of the book! and that good ol' leo dicaprio is playing gatsby. i hope that actually happens.

see? he'd be stellar.

anyway. nothing exciting to report. i just wanted to blog. so i did. here's to the present. i hope you all are enjoying yours. you know what? i'm enjoying mine. what's not to enjoy? much love--Mary
